Phil began his real estate career in an REO Asset Management Company. He initially was responsible for the coordination of budget and workout plans for hundreds of REO properties across the United States involved in the 1980's EPIC Bankruptcy Plan. He was responsible for the calculation and collection of an additional one million dollars due to a client in the TMIC mortgage insurance liquidation. As Vice President of the Asset Management Company he was involved in all aspects of loss mitigation from Default to Disposition which enabled him to learn various aspects of the mortgage and real estate process. He managed the liquidation of both residential and commercial properties for a Savings and Loan under the Conservatorship of the Resolution Trust Corporation and FDIC. For the past 13 years he has been a multi-million dollar producer for a  real estate company he established to help clients obtain the maximum value for their properties. He has helped many individual and institutional clients while also obtaining top dollar in various neighborhoods across Virginia. He has attended numerous seminars for real estate, appraising, foreclosure law, and REO training. Chris Covey entered the real estate profession as a personal assistant to Linda Vane.
